Devola Pool Guidelines and Procedures for Opening Safely

The EMCA has adopted the following guidelines and procedures for the Devola Pool to open and operate in a safe manner amid the COVID-19 pandemic.  Please note that we have adopted these rules to follow the mandatory and recommended guidelines outlined by the Ohio Department of Health.

  • Attendance is for members only.  We are not offering any daily admission or punch card passes at this time.  We are selling a limited number of memberships to ensure our patrons are adequately socially distanced.

  • Members will need to check in and check out with their membership card at the guardhouse so we can ensure we meet our capacity requirements.

  • We will not be able to loan out shared items like goggles, pool noodles or kickboards.  You will need to bring your own.  Please put your name on any items you bring from home and take them home when you leave.

  • Umbrellas will be available to check out at the guardhouse.

  • Masks are encouraged when entering the facility, when you are line at the concession stand and if you cannot social distance yourself from others in common spaces.

  • You can bring coolers and snacks.

  • We are lowering the age of the baby pool to 4 years old to avoid overcrowding.  We are also setting a maximum number of patrons in the fenced baby pool area to ensure proper social distancing.

  • We will have two sanitizing stations throughout the facility so you can sanitize your hands easily.

  • We offer pool parties.  We will require you to give us an estimated number of attendees.

  • Swimming lessons (group and private) are available.  We are limiting the number of students to 10 for each group.

We know some of these rules sound harsh, but we are committed to serve our community and have a safe and fun atmosphere for our children this summer.  Please respect our decisions during these unprecedented times.  We will re-evaluate these guidelines and procedures as the situation changes.
